VP SALES & MARKETING US

By combining 3D ultrasound based on AI and precision robotics, our team created an autonomous blood drawing device. We are the first company in the world to introduce this innovation, that will revolutionize the healthcare industry.

Improving the lives of millions of patients runs through the veins of our business. Our extraordinary team of over 50 people loves to work on the toughest challenges to find cutting-edge solutions.

We realize breakthroughs and change the future of health care. What's not to love about that? Our can-do mentality and passion to work on the toughest challenges to find cutting-edge solutions leads us to a huge success: the product launch at the end of 2024. And for that, we need your help.

VP SALES & MARKETING US at Vitestro

The VP of U.S. Sales & marketing will be the first local hire in the US. You will be responsible for developing the market for a completely new medical innovation, and building up the US team from scratch. Vitestro has already sold several devices in the Netherlands. The US will be one of Vitestro’s focus countries to start its commercial activities. From desk research we have determined an initial estimate on the market size and potentially interesting US regions, states and even individual hospitals for Vitestro. The next step is to get a true understanding of the market and its business dynamics.

As medical device sales cycles tend to be long, and even more so for a completely new product, we want to hire a VP of U.S. Sales & marketing 12-18 months before the first deployment. From a regulatory point of view, we will follow the De Novo pathway. Vitestro has submitted its first two Q-subs to the FDA, aims to submit its De Novo submission in 2024, and obtain FDA approval in 2025. After which the first US devices can be deployed at our customers. The focus of the role will gradually shift over time. The first 1-2 years you will identify the right innovative customers, help them envision the future of blood drawing, tailor customer business cases and close the first deals. As the US market matures and the first devices are deployed, the focus will shift towards further expanding the commercial team and ensure the US team can realize its ambitious growth plan.

The US organization will be run relatively independently from the European organization. Nonetheless there are many learnings from developing the European market that could be leveraged in the US as well. You will report directly to the CEO, and will work very closely together with our Commercial Director (both co-founders). Vitestro has access to many experts in the medical robotics space, including Fred Moll (Founder of Intuitive Surgical, Hansen Medical, Restoration Robotics and Auris Health) who is on the board of Vitestro.

  • Has managed sales teams and marketing activities
  • Knows a broad group of relevant people at hospitals and laboratories, including senior management
  • Has a strong enthusiasm for medical technology and ambition for selling innovative, technical products

  • Has analytical skills to assess and make the business case tailored to a customer and gets energy from creating high quality documents
  • Fosters relationship building and teamwork: you thrive on building relationships and making connections. You can also be a great coach to other team members
