About the job

As a Systems Architect specializing in mechatronics, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our technical team's capabilities for the development of innovative robotic medical devices. Your expertise will encompass a broad understanding of the entire system, coupled with the capacity to understand complex technical details. At Vitestro we are passionate about technology and seek to onboard a Systems Architect who shares our enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges in the realm of robotic systems, while also demonstrating leadership skills in guiding a team of technologists, engineers, and other professionals.


You will be overseeing the architectural design of the complete system and one or more sub-systems, leading verification and validation processes, and preparing these sub-systems for production, with a specific mission in the first 24 months to obtain FDA clearance for our device.


What you will be doing:

  • Leading the architectural design and technical development of a complex medical device system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Defining the system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Defining the test strategy to verify that the device meets its requirements.
  • Conducting the risk assessment of the device.
  • Creating the system level technical documentation.
  • Interactions (on the technical aspects of the device) with the international notified bodies and test houses to obtain certification.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.

Job requirements

What you will bring:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in leadership roles, such as Systems Engineer or related positions within the medical device industry.
  • Strong competency in leading system design, integration, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards is desirable, including but not limited to IEC 60601 and FDA guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in development processes compliant with industry norms and certifications, balancing the integration of cutting-edge technologies with cost-effectiveness.
  • Proven experience in architecting systems with a nuanced understanding of budgetary constraints and resource optimization.
  • Leadership experience in guiding and ensuring adherence to quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
