Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). This groundbreaking medical device combines advanced multi-modal imaging (near-infrared, ultrasound, and Doppler ultrasound) with robotics and AI to perform the entire diagnostic blood draw procedure autonomously.

About the job
For this systems engineering role we are looking for someone how will be able to: further refine our requirement and interface definitions, enhance our processes to design for serviceability, reliability and manufacturability as well as lead your colleagues through technical excellence.
Own the translation of system level requirement towards sub-system or function requirement breakdown.
Co-work with your fellow system-engineers to detail the interface requirements between functions and/or sub-systems
Defining (and potentially execution) of verifications at sub-system, function and system level
Lead your fellow engineers to realize and verify our designs
Contribute to the refinement of our design and supplier management processes that help ensure the quality of our product.
Work together with our suppliers to implement design and/or process improvements
Guarding requirements making sure the device complies with all relevant standards
Troubleshooting issues both at sub-system and system level
Job requirements
What we are looking for
Must have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar background
>5 years working experience in design & development mechatronic devices
Experience with industrialization development of actuated (dynamic, moving) systems
Nice to have:
Experience with leading a team of engineers.
Experience with the design of medical devices
Experience in preparing devices for series-production.
Experience with collaborating and managing external suppliers
Experience in detailed design, using CAD software
Experience in prototyping software (e.g. Python, Arduino)
