Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). About the job
As a Reliability Architect at Vitestro, you will play a key role in ensuring our breakthrough medical device meets the highest standards of reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability. You will work with our system architects and engineers to refine our strategy and meet reliability targets. You will set up data analyses, reliability growth tests, and reliability improvement programs, as well as define system and interface requirements. You will also support industrialization efforts and support your colleagues by promoting technical excellence and design optimization.
In this role you will:
Translate system-level requirements into reliability related requirements.
Collaborate with system architect and system engineers to weigh reliability aspects amidst other functional and non-functional requirements.
Define and execute reliability growth testing and subsequent improvements.
Lead and mentor engineers to deliver robust, reliable, and optimized designs.
Contribute to the manufacturability, industrialization and supplier management processes to ensure product quality and reliability.
Safeguard compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues at both sub-system and system level with a focus on root cause and long-term reliability.
Job requirements
Must have:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field.
10+ years of experience in design and development of mechatronic or actuated systems.
Strong background in reliability engineering and preparing systems for series production.
Demonstrated ability to optimize designs for reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
Familiarity with CAD design, test design, and testing methods.
Nice to have:
Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers.
Experience with medical devices or regulated industries.
