The Assignment
As a Freelance System Verification Engineer, you will support the verification and release activities of Vitestro's robotic medical device platform.
You will work closely with systems, software and mechanical engineers to verify a highly integrated mechatronic system combining robotics, motion control, sensors, hardware and software. You will ensure system requirements are adequately verified and released in a controlled and efficient manner.
The assignment combines hands-on testing, verification planning, automation, and release support within a complex robotic and mechatronic environment.
Key deliverables
Review and improve the current system verification approach.
Define, maintain and execute system verification protocols.
Develop and improve automated verification and release tooling using Python.
Execute system-level verification and integration testing of complex mechatronic and robotic systems, including hardware, software, sensors and motion-control components.
Support verification activities related to software, hardware and system releases.
Identify verification gaps and propose risk-based improvements.
Generate verification evidence and documentation suitable for regulated product development.
Contribute to successful release milestones of the Aletta platform
Job requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in system verification, integration testing, or validation of complex high-tech products.
Experience working with complex mechatronic systems involving hardware, software, sensors and mechanical integration.
Professional experience using Python for test automation, tooling, scripting or data analysis.
Understanding of product development and design processes.
Fluent in English.

Practical information:
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: Start 3-month freelance assignment, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Utrecht (hybrid).
Workload: 32- 40 hours per week.
Contract type: Freelance / Contractor.
Language: English.
