Who we are

Vitestro will be the first to bring autonomous blood drawing technology to European hospitals. Blood drawing, performed billions of times per year worldwide, is key to clinical diagnosis. Given the mounting shortages of healthcare personnel and global population growth, there is a clear need for a future-proof system to guarantee continuity of care.


To help solve this problem we are developing an autonomous blood drawing device. We are the first in the world to develop a fully autonomous blood-drawing device using a combination of state-of-the-art A.I. and robotics. The venipuncture device uses infrared and ultrasound to localize the vein in the arm of the patient. A robotic positioning system controls the interaction between the ultrasound probe and the arm of the patient, while an ultrasound probe creates a 3D image of the vein using artificial intelligence (A.I.). The optimal insertion location is determined by the software algorithms to position the robotic needle insertion in the middle of the vein, ensuring accurate and secure blood collection. The procedure is performed fully automatically, from tourniquet to bandage application.


We are ambitious and strongly believe that we have only just started. Technology lies at our core: multidisciplinary team primarily consists of highly specialized hardware and software engineers. We also have our own medical team, driving clinical trials together with our clinical partners

About the job 

We now have an exciting opportunity for a driven Communications and Marketing manager. You will lead our efforts to introduce this breakthrough innovation to patients and healthcare specialists, carefully crafting our message. Your efforts will highly contribute to acceptance by patients and adoption by nurses. We have already received the first international coverage of our announcement, which was targeted at medical channels. The initial marketing focus will be on The Netherlands, but we have global ambitions. 

You work closely with our Commercial Director, our Head of Business Development, Medical Officer and Head of Product. When necessary, you collaborate with external consultants in PR & marketing.


Responsibilities:

  • Define marketing communications strategy and roadmap for the company’s flagship product
  • Develop Vitestro’s brand identity through various channels and for different segments
  • Lead new communication and marketing initiatives, such as distribution of patient experience videos; setting-up a Vitestro Academy to enthuse field experts; or creation of a company blog
  • Prepare all media communications (website, newsletters, videos, reference stories, press releases)

Job requirements

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, or related
  • 5+ years’ experience with marketing and communications, product-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in PR and media requests
  • Expertise in social media communications and marketing
  • Expertise in digital marketing
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English language, both written and oral
  • Preferred: experience in international medical device marketing
  • Takes complete ownership in building up our marketing efforts, from the ground up
  • Is empathetic and keen to truly understand the needs and concerns of patients and customers
  • Loves to write
  • Creates convincing communication to all stakeholders (both lay and scientific)
